Employee Engagement for Good: BKxKB + SageView Advisory Group

On Tuesday, March 18, 2025, SageView Advisory Group, in partnership with SixDegrees.org, activated BKxKB as part of the 2025 National Conference. Together, attendees built 1,000 essential resource kits for distribution to local Los Angeles county young people who live in under resourced communities AND who were recently impacted by the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles county. These kits represent so much more than backpacks and school supplies - they represent dignity and encouragement for the next generation to reach their fullest potential.

Reaching 40,000 in Washington, D.C.

On Wednesday, February 5, 2025, SixDegrees.org activated its Building Kits program in partnership with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington, D.C. The IMF collaborated to bring the initiative to their team as part of their ongoing commitment to community engagement. Together, 3,000 essential resource kits were assembled for immediate distribution to local organizations supporting individuals experiencing homelessness in Washington, D.C. An additional 2,000 personal hygiene kits were distributed to network partners across the Black Hills region of South Dakota. This partnership resulted in the 40,000th kit of our campaign to be built and distributed as well as empowering us to reach constituents in the 50th state of our nation.

SixDegrees.org + loanDepot: Full hearts in Phoenix

On Wednesday, January 22, 2025, SixDegrees.org activated it’s Building Kits program in Phoenix, AZ in partnership with loanDepot. loanDepot collaborated to bring their Joint Venture team together in service as part of their annual sales meeting. Together, 5,000 personal hygiene kits were assembled for immediate distribution to local Phoenix organizations as well as transported to LA county to support those affected by the wildfires.

On Thursday, November 14, 2024, SixDegrees.org activated it’s Building Kits program in Richmond, VA in partnership with Bonfire. Bonfire employees and creators stood side-by-side building essential resource kits for students in Albemarle County, which will be distributed through Communities in Schools NOVA.

BKxKB Goes to Hollywood

On Wednesday, June 12, 2024, SixDegrees.org took part in Paramount’s Community Day. Through our BKxKB project, Paramount employees joined us to create 1,250 essential resource kits full of items of need and comfort. The kits were distributed to Fernando Pullum Community Arts Center, a local community arts program in Los Angeles that serves under-resourced youth in out-of-school time through inspiring arts instruction.

On Thursday, April 25, 2024, SixDegrees.org, in partnership with Bell Bank, activated its Building Kits program to create and distribute 1,000 essential resource kits for nonprofits in the Fargo, ND region. This partnership was part of Bell Bank’s Pay It Forward initiative that celebrates employee engagement and provides vital financial support to nonprofits across the country.
