On Tuesday, March 18, 2025, SageView Advisory Group, in partnership with SixDegrees.org, activated BKxKB as part of the 2025 National Conference. Together, attendees built 1,000 essential resource kits for distribution to local Los Angeles county young people who live in under resourced communities AND who were recently impacted by the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles county. These kits represent so much more than backpacks and school supplies - they represent dignity and encouragement for the next generation to reach their fullest potential.

Friends In Deed was the network partner for this BKxKB activation. In addition to supporting more than 600 families annually through regular ongoing programming, Friends In Deed has activated several emergency relief programs to support young people in the Pasadena community who were recently impacted by the wildfires in Los Angeles county. One of their single largest support activations is through back-to-school initiatives aimed at preparing students across the district.

SixDegrees.org is grateful to CORT Furniture for supporting the logistics of this activation!
