BKxKB Goes to Hollywood
On Wednesday, June 12, 2024, SixDegrees.org took part in Paramount’s Community Day. Through our BKxKB project, Paramount employees joined us to create 1,250 essential resource kits full of items of need and comfort. The kits were distributed to Fernando Pullum Community Arts Center, a local community arts program in Los Angeles that serves under-resourced youth in out-of-school time through inspiring arts instruction.
“These kits are a huge display of love and care. Our students will remember this experience not only for what is in the bag, but for the people who made the bags as well,” said Fernando Pullum, founder and executive director of the Fernando Pullum Community Arts Center.
A total of 16,706 items of care were distributed through these kits, adding up to $14,000 worth of resources. Paramount employees contributed 130 volunteer hours to make this possible.
