SixDegrees.org exists to fight disconnection, the silent force eroding our communities. Through storytelling, community-first campaigns, and resource-sharing, we empower nonprofits, companies, and individuals to expand their impact, proving service is the antidote to disconnection.

  • SixDegrees.org is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has been harnessing the power of connection for nearly 20 years. Founded by Golden Globe-winning actor, musician, and philanthropist Kevin Bacon in 2007 on the principle that we are all just six degrees or less from someone who needs our help, our programs unite individuals, nonprofits, and companies to make the world a better place through acts of service.

  • Disconnection is the silent force eroding our society. SixDegrees.org exists to make the world a more connected place by creating pathways to small acts of service and uplifting fellow grassroots organizations that function as the heartbeat of their communities.

    At SixDegrees.org, we believe everyone has the power to create change and that our differences make us stronger. We believe all people, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, political affiliation, race, or economic standing, deserve to be seen and heard, and we invite everyone to lean in and recognize our shared humanity.
