Paying it Forward with Bell Bank
On Thursday, April 25, 2024, SixDegrees.org, in partnership with Bell Bank, activated its Building Kits program to create and distribute 1,000 essential resource kits for nonprofits in the Fargo, ND region. This partnership was part of Bell Bank’s Pay It Forward initiative that celebrates employee engagement and provides vital financial support to nonprofits across the country.
Bell Bank employees contributed 215 volunteer hours filling resource kits wits $30,870 worth of product, totaling 13,000 items of care. The kits created during this activation were distributed to Churches United, YWCA Cass Clay, and The Village Family Service Center.
“YWCA Cass Clay was honored to work side-by-side with SixDegrees.org and community volunteers as part of the BKxKB movement,” said Julie Haugen, cheif operating officer at YWCA Cass Clay. “Together we helped restore dignity to survivors of domestic violence and homelessness. Items in the kits are empowering women and children on their journey to independence and reminding them they are not alone.”
SixDegrees.org extends a special thanks to Brand Partners Bombas, Dr. Bronner’s, and Dropps for contributing product to this activation.
