On December 15, 2020, music fans tuned in to an extraordinary benefit concert broadcast amplifying awareness for transformational racial, social, and food justice: PLAY ON: Celebrating the Power of Music to Make Change.  The memorable primetime one-hour special, which was co-hosted by Golden Globe-winning actor, musician, philanthropist, and Founder of Sixdegrees.org Kevin Bacon and Grammy Award-winning rapper and actress Eve, aired on CBS, as well as on CBS ALL Access and SiriusXM’s The Pulse (ch. 15), and fans who missed the memorable musical night can now stream PLAY ON on YouTube. 

If you were on social media, read articles online, or watched morning news during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, chances are you came across our #IStayHomeFor campaign. Launched by actor and philantrhopist Kevin Bacon, the campaign was created in order to encourage more people to stay socially distant by staying home during this global crisis. It quickly gained momentum and spread to more than 50 countries around the world!

What started as a campaign in September 2019 to support organizations in the Mid Atlantic tackling pediatric cancer quickly expanded into Texas, Minnesota, and even Spain. It crossed states, countries, and party lines and touched all people in a beautiful way. With every new market reached, new organizations were brought in to support. #CakeItLikeAKid It was the SixDegrees.org’s first viral campaign and empowered us to formally launch our Degree Shift program!
